Prom limos in Dallas, with parents in the loop.
Stretch limos, stretch SUVs, Sprinters and party buses for prom groups of 8 to 50, from Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Allen and Richardson. Zero alcohol, an adult signs, and every pickup and drop-off is set in writing.
Prom is the one night when the people who book the car are not the people riding in it. Students plan the night; a parent signs, pays and gets the itinerary. Here is how prom transportation works in Dallas, and what we need from each of you.
Book in January or February
Most proms in North Texas fall on spring Saturdays. With schools across Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Allen and Richardson ISDs, and the private schools between them, holding proms on the same spring weekends, the stretch SUVs and party buses are reserved early. Book two to three months ahead: for an April or May prom, that means January or February.
Homecoming dances in the fall follow the same rules — see prom and homecoming.
Which vehicle for your group
- Lincoln Stretch Limousine: 8–10 guests — the classic prom limo for a few couples, and the one that looks right in the photos.
- Sprinter Limo — 14 Passenger: 12–14 guests — a stand-up cabin that fits hotel valet lanes and parking garages where a stretch can’t go.
- Infiniti QX80 Stretch: 12–14 guests — a white stretch SUV with a lounge cabin, for a mid-sized friend group.
- Cadillac Escalade Stretch: 14–18 guests — the showpiece arrival, when the group wants to be seen pulling up.
- Hummer H2 Stretch: 16–20 guests — the biggest stretch SUV, for a group that would otherwise need two limos.
- Party Bus — 15–20 Passenger: 15–20 guests — one big friend group, with room to stand when the bus is parked.
- Limo Bus — 30 Passenger: 26–30 guests — when two or three friend groups combine into one ride.
- Party Bus — 40–50 Passenger: 40–50 guests — a whole club or team, with multiple doors for quick loading at the venue.
Count everyone who is definitely coming, including dates from other schools, and book for that number. Capacity is a legal limit: the chauffeur has to refuse boarding beyond it, even for one extra friend on the night. If the group grows after you book, tell us early so we can change the vehicle while one is free. Every vehicle, with photos, is on our fleet page.
Dallas-area prom venues
Proms around Dallas are held in a few kinds of places, and each one changes the plan for the vehicle:
- Hotel ballrooms downtown, in Uptown and in Las Colinas. The drop-off is the hotel entrance, shared with hotel guests and every other prom group arriving at the same time.
- Event centers and banquet halls in Plano, Frisco, Allen and McKinney. Many have one entrance and a long line of cars in the arrival window.
- Event venues downtown and in the Design District, where the curb is a city street and a bus can’t stop just anywhere.
- Country clubs and the school campus itself, where the pickup line runs through a parking lot.
Send us the venue address and the school’s arrival window when you book, and your chauffeur plans a drop-off point that works for a vehicle its size. Many schools also set their own prom-night rules, such as ticket and ID checks, an arrival cut-off, and whether students can leave and come back. Read them before you plan the night; they come first.
Photo stops
Plan photos in two parts: with parents at the pickup address, then one stop as a group somewhere with a view. A few Dallas options:
- The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, on White Rock Lake, for spring flowers. Everyone in the group needs admission, changing in the restrooms isn’t allowed, so arrive dressed, and the garden closes at 5 p.m. It suits an afternoon session before an evening prom; check the hours for your date.
- Klyde Warren Park, the deck park over Woodall Rodgers Freeway between downtown and Uptown, with the skyline and the Arts District behind you. It is open until 11 p.m. A professional shoot needs a park permit if it is commercial, uses more than one tripod or closes off any part of the park.
- Trinity Overlook Park on West Commerce Street, for the downtown skyline across the Trinity River. Its lot holds about a dozen cars, so a stretch or a bus drops the group off and waits nearby.
- The White Rock Lake shoreline in East Dallas: open space and water, and no ticket needed.
Every stop goes on the written itinerary before the night, and each one uses booked time. Spring in North Texas brings storms, so keep an indoor backup, such as the venue’s own entrance hall, in case the weather turns.
Timing the night
Plan backward from the school’s arrival window. From Frisco, Prosper or Plano to a downtown venue, the usual route is the Dallas North Tollway; from Allen or McKinney, it is US 75. Saturday evening traffic on either can be heavy, so leave room in the plan. If dinner comes first, choose a restaurant on the way to the venue, not across town.
Count the hours from the first pickup to the final drop-off, including the dance: on an hourly booking, the chauffeur and the vehicle stay with your group for the whole time.
Rules for every prom trip
- An adult signs. A parent or guardian signs the agreement, pays and receives the written itinerary. That adult is our contact on the night, and any change comes from them through our office — not from the group, and not through the chauffeur.
- Zero alcohol, enforced. No alcohol at all on any trip with anyone under 21 aboard, even if adults ride along. Vehicles may be checked before and during the trip, and if alcohol is found the trip ends with no refund.
- No smoking or vaping of any kind.
- Capacity is a legal limit. Nobody boards beyond the number on the confirmation.
- Fixed pickup and drop-off points. The pickup address, any photo stop, the venue and the final drop-off are agreed in writing before the night, and the chauffeur sticks to them.
- Everyone stays seated, with seatbelts where fitted, while the vehicle is moving. No standing or using the sunroof on the road.
The full rules are in our terms. Our parent’s guide to prom limos in Texas lists the questions to ask any company before you book, us included.
How prom pricing works
Prom vehicles are quoted per trip, because the rate depends on the vehicle, the date and the hours. Most bookings have a 3-hour minimum. 20% gratuity and applicable taxes are added as separate lines, and a 50% deposit secures the vehicle, with the balance due 10 days before prom. If you cancel, the deposit is not refunded — read our refund policy before you pay.
Splitting the cost between families? The booking still has one adult signer and one card on file; how the families divide it is up to them. Per guest, one larger vehicle can cost less than two smaller ones.
How to book
- The school, the prom date and the venue address.
- The final head count, including dates from other schools.
- The pickup address, the photo stop, dinner if any, and the final drop-off.
- The name and mobile number of the adult who will sign.
Send them through our booking form and we reply with vehicle options and a written quote. The adult who signs receives the agreement and the itinerary in writing.
Tip. Take the parents’ photos at the pickup address before the vehicle’s arrival time. Booked hours start at pickup, so photos taken while the limo waits come out of the night.
