Party Bus or Limo? How to Choose for Your Group
Stretch limousine, Sprinter limo or party bus? A simple guide to choosing by group size, occasion, standing room and budget.

The right vehicle depends on three things: how many people are coming, whether they want to stand and move around, and where you’re going.
Up to 10 people: stretch limousine
A Lincoln stretch or Chrysler 300 stretch carries 8–10 in wraparound leather. It is the classic choice for weddings and proms, and it looks the part in photographs.
7 to 14 people: Sprinter limo
A Sprinter limo has a stand-up ceiling and fits into valet lanes and parking garages where a stretch cannot. It is our favorite for bachelorettes, wine tours and nights downtown.
12 to 20 people: stretch SUV
An Escalade, QX80 or Hummer stretch is the showpiece — maximum presence for quinceañeras, birthdays and big nights.
15 to 50 people: party bus
A party bus keeps a big group together, with room to stand and dance when parked and lighting and sound throughout. Everyone stays seated while it is moving.
30 to 56 people, mostly seated: charter coach
For conferences and wedding-guest shuttles where people want a comfortable seat and luggage space, choose a coach.
Tip. Per person, larger vehicles are often cheaper than splitting a group across two smaller ones — and nobody misses half the night in the other car.
